About Us

WWe're Jack's Guitarcheology and we're a local guitar store here in Lebanon, TN. We have an affinity for all things funky and drenched in mojo, and proudly offer repairs, restorations, consignments, and appraisals. We started this business from our home and now we get to realize the dream of owning our own storefront. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Lebanon, Nashville, East Nashville, Wilson County and the surrounding areas. We'd like to personally invite you to take a peek into our world for unique, vintage, antique, and "weirdo" guitars...as well as musical instruments, sheet music, tuners, gig bags, microphones, and our expanded vinyl selection! Over the holidays our online store will remain up and running!

Jacks Guitarcheology is a cool guitar shop with a lot of cool guitars and gear. The staff is just as cool. A very friendly shop and it’s dog friendly as well. If you are out around Lebanon Tennessee I highly recommend you stop in and visit. A must for and musician or guitar nerd.

Jack's place is just the best. Full disclosure: I've done a bit of video work for Jack, but being in that store kind of rekindled my interest in guitars. Seeing all the beautiful and strange instruments in there, I was just like, "Oh yeah. Guitars are awesome." The shop itself is inviting, Jack and the staff are great, and there's just so many fun toys in there. Highly recommended!

Super neat shop! A great mix of guitars and instruments that are all fairly priced and well-maintained. I gathered that they repair quite a few instruments through the shop. It’s cozy, in a really cool looking historical building off the square. And the workers were the right balance of kind and respectful (sometimes you want to just look around on your own). Also, there was a really good shop dog chilling out there named Toby, make sure to give him some love if you have the honor of seeing him! (I even got a sticker!)

One of my favorite guitar shops in the world. I live 130 miles away. But I swing by every chance I get. I love the East Nashville shops, but even when I go there, I take the time to drive a little ways further to Lebanon. Jack’s has classic “good stuff”: Gibson, Fender, etc. but also seriously interesting guitars. They are THE “Nashville rubber bridge” people. Those are so many artists’ secret sauce these days. And a baritone rubber bridge is divine to me. But people sometimes sleep on their selection of Airline, Kay, Teisco, Matsumoku and Guyatone white label, etc. One of the best selections of 60s catalog and MIJ guitars I’ve ever even heard of. Best I’ve ever seen by far. They have truly creative “partscaster” builds too. I’m so bored by these by nature. But Jack’s are creative enough you want to pick them up. I’ve bought, sold, and traded with them. Never had to haggle like normal. I seriously hate that. A fair deal right off the bat. I think they’re too punk rock to be sleazy. And the place has such a comfortable vibe. You can grab a guitar and plug it into a headphone amp (comfy to me) or a real one. You can sit on a couch and chill. Talk guitars, gear, or whatever. Listen to great tunes. Stuff I love, stuff I’ve never heard. Meet cool people who are into guitars or buying their first. I started out coming in twice with 0 budget and was clear I was “just looking.” Didn’t matter. They’ll talk, they’ll leave you alone. Whatever you’re feeling. I’ve just bought a random framed 80s magazine ad for like $5 because it would amuse my friend. And every person that works there is cool. It’s not like some places where the owner not being there is a drop in experience. I think Jack and his wife (massive shame felt for not remembering her name, so nice) draw in amazing folks. My 11yo daughter is still inspired by Kass who worked there before moving. But talk to them. They know their sh. I’ll restate, I live 130 miles away outside Memphis, but Jacks’s Guitarcheology is MY shop.
